World Inline Hockey

Costa Rica wrote that they would like to attend the World Championship in Bucaramaga with their Senior Men National Team. It will be the first time that a country from Central America join the FIRS “OFFICIAL” In Line Hockey Championship.

When CIRILH visited Bucaramanga the Presidenr of “Federacion Colombiana de Patinaje” confirmed that COLOMBIA will attend the 2012 World Championships with 3 teams:

• Junior Men
• Senior Women
• Senior Men

Gilbert Portier and Stephane Marcoux visited Bucaramanga on February 7th and 8th.

First they met Alberto Herrera, Colombian Federation President, and Jose Acevedo, Bogota League President. President Herrera presented the flow chart of the organization and explained how the Bucaramanga Organization Committee will communicate around the events.

At least we visited the venue, Coliseo bicentenario, a nice place to play.

The President of CIRILH (the International Committee) not having any information on World Games venue for In Line Hockey decided to visit Cali to meet the people in charge with the WG 2013 Organization . Stephan Marcoux, Technical Director Hockey for the WG 2013, and Camilo Torres, President In Line Hockey inside the Cali Roller Sports League, accompagnied Gilbert Portier there.

Very cordial greeting and excellent news: the town of Cali decided to build a “Coliseo” covered. It will be used a surface of 4,000 m2 currently occupied by basketball courts. The end of work is programmed for November 2012. A pretty Christmas present for the hockey players.
